Hyderabad: According to the police, the four prisoners were admitted in the hospital from the Central Prison in Cherlapally after developing Covid-19 symptoms and were admitted in a ward on the second floor.

In the early hours of Thursday, all four prisoners allegedly escaped from the Covid-19 ward in Gandhi Hospital after breaking the window grill of a toilet on the second floor of the Gandhi Hospital, police said

Chilkalguda police rushed to the Hospital and launched efforts to check the hospital premises immediately on information from the hospital administration.

All police stations have been alerted about it,” said Kamleshwar Shingenavar, DCP, North Zone. “Our teams are checking the hospital premises to find out if they are hiding somewhere on the premises.
