Hyderabad: Family members of a Covid-19 positive patient from Gurumurthy lane, Begumpet, who died at Gandhi Hospital, were shocked on recognizing that the body, which was about to be cremated on Tuesday did not belong to their relative.

The deceased patient’s body was brought to the cremation by the health care workers from Gandhi Hospital in the presence of police officials.

The family of the deceased patient who were called for a final look of the body realized it was someone else. They raised complaints and tension prevailed for a while as arguments ensued between the police officials, health care workers from Gandhi Hospital and the relatives.

According to reports, the police officials managed to take back the body to the mortuary of Gandhi Hospital where body of the deceased from Gurumurthy lane was at the hospital mortuary, according to reports.
