Whoever want to have their Mayor they have to negotiate power sharing agreement with the other party.

Hyderabad: Even though TRS appeared as the single largest party in the GHMC election, it won only 55 seats in 150-member.

The new winners of GHMC corporators and 52 ex-officio members will elect the Hyderabad Mayor. Since TRS has majority ex-officio members, it required 65 corporators from the new winners to have its Mayor.

TRS alone are not able to elect their mayor, as people of Telangana denied a clear majority for the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
