New Delhi, 23 March: All People, above 45-year-old can be vaccinated from 1st April.
Storming up the nationwide vaccination drive at a time Covid cases have surged in many states.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar in a video message requested people as “I appeal to every citizen who is 45 or above to register for vaccination.”
At present, people who are above 60 and those over 45 with other illnesses are allowed to get vaccination.
“This decision has been taken by cabinet on the basis of the advice of the coronavirus Task Force and experts,” said Minister.
Minister said, 4.85 crore people have received at least one dose of the Covid vaccine and 80 lakhs have received the second dose.
“The second dose of vaccination has to be between four to eight weeks. However, doctors will decide when it is best to take the second shot,” the Union Minister said.
