Lucknow: In a blatant violation of election rules, a boy allegedly voted eight times for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at different polling booths in Uttar Pradesh during the Lok Sabha elections. A video that went viral on social media shows the boy recording himself casting multiple votes, raising serious concerns about the election’s integrity.
According to Election Commission regulations, an individual is allowed to vote only once, and phones or any electronic devices are prohibited inside polling booths.
In the video, the boy is seen entering multiple polling booths and voting for the BJP, while counting the number of times he cast his vote.
Congress shared the video on X, and Says “Wake Up Now EC”.
Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav and the Congress party shared the video on X, questioning whether the Election Commission would take action against this violation.
