Time to Unite, Promote Telugu Leadership in New Delhi – CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: In a call for greater representation of Telugu people at the national level, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy emphasized the need to unite beyond caste and regional divisions to address the Telugu leadership vacuum in New Delhi. Speaking at the Kamma Global Federation program in Hyderabad, Reddy noted that despite expectations for leaders like former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu to rise to prominent positions, such as the presidency, there remains a gap in Telugu representation in national politics.

Reddy highlighted the historical contributions of leaders like former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao and former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, pointing out the absence of similar influence today. He urged the community to support leadership that advances the cause of Telugu people in New Delhi.

Reddy praised the Kamma community for its achievements, including notable figures like Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, and invited them to actively participate in the State’s development. He assured that the Telangana government would support the community and provide opportunities, emphasizing a commitment to equality and non-discrimination among castes.

Furthermore, Reddy promised to address land issues related to the Kamma Sangham and offered assistance for constructing a community building, reiterating the government’s support for the Kamma community’s contributions to Hyderabad’s growth.
