Suresh Raina Out of IPL 2020, Returns to India due to “Personal Reasons”

UAE: Chennai Super Kings’ master batsman Suresh Raina has come back to India due to personal reasons and will miss the whole IPL 2020 season,

CSK is their official tweeter states. “Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season. Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during this time.”

Raina, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket alongside his Chennai Super Kings and India teammate Mahinder Singh Dhoni, is the highest scorer for Chennai Super Kings.

The upcoming IPL season is set to begin on September 19 with Chennai Super Kings taking on defending champions Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener.

CSK have been hampered by difficulties even before the tournament has started.

CSK’s preparing for the upcoming Indian Premier League at UAE hit a hitch after it surfaced that a pace bowler and several staff members of the CSK tested positive for CoronaVirus, hence the team’s quarantine period has now been extended till September 1.
