Warner has scored more than 500 runs in all the four tournaments he has been associated with the Orange Army. He was the second-highest run -scorer for them in their title-winning effort with a monumental 848 runs at a strike rate of 151.42. SRH retained the services of Warner for an astronomical Rs. 12 crores for this season’s IPL. Warner would look to make amends for a missed opportunity last year and help his side make the grades with his enthralling batsmanship in 2019.

Kerala pacer Basil Thampi’s ability to hit the deck hard and extract credible pace was a vital talking point in his inaugural season for Gujarat Lions in 2017. He claimed a decent haul of 11 wickets at a substantial strike rate of 24.36 for them in that season. He has been retained for Rs. 95 lakhs by the SRH management for the 2019 season. Thampi would like to make a better impact this time around as this is also a World Cup year and performances in the IPL would be closely followed across the landscape.               


Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Top wicket-taker for SRH and India medium pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one of the expectedly retained players for them for the 2019 edition. He was retained for a price of Rs. 8.5 crores for the upcoming event by SRH. Bhuvneshwar has a massive haul of 120 wickets at a mightily impressive strike rate of 18.81 in the IPL matches he has played so far. With an exceptional control on line and length and swing bowling, Bhuvneshwar is one of the top threats for opening batsmen across the circuit. Along with Rashid Khan, he is sure to provide many a headaches for opposition think tanks in the 2019 edition as well.                             



Billy Stanlake

Fast bowler Billy Stanlake has made a name for himself in the shortest format of the game with impressive shows in the Australian T20 league. Standing tall at 6 feet and 8 inches, Stanlake is known for his ability to bowl deadly bouncers which has earned him praises from the best in the business. He represented the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2017 and played a crucial part for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018, though he had to miss a few games owing to an injury.                      


Jonny Bairstow

Tenacious England wicketkeeper-batsman is a new entrant to the IPL who was bought for Rs. 1.5 crore by the SRH team management for the 2019 season. A proven performer at the highest level for his country, Bairstow is also a useful performer at the T20 level. He has scored 1766 runs at a strike rate of 127.69 and has 61 dismissals behind the stumps in the shortest format. He would give SRH a useful option behind the wickets in the 12th edition of IPL.                      


Kane Williamson

Part of the famed ‘Fab Four’ along with Virat Kohli, Steven Smith and Joe Root, Kane Williamson is one of the coolest customers around the circuit. He rose to the occasion wonderfully well in last year’s IPL as he captained SRH to the final, in the absence of regular captain David Warner. Williamson’s abilities with the bat are nothing short of substantial as he has scored runs across conditions and formats. He has one of the best averages in IPL cricket where he has scored 1146 runs at 42.44. The New Zealand skipper was retained for Rs. 3 crores by SRH for IPL 2019.                             


Manish Pandey

It took one spectacular innings to thrust Manish Pandey into the limelight. A flamboyant right-hand top-order batsman, Pandey scored an unbeaten 114 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Deccan Chargers in IPL 2009. He became the first Indian to score a ton in the IPL. After turning out for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first three seasons of the IPL, Pandey was signed by the Pune Warriors prior to IPL 2011 and continued his stint with the team even in IPL 2013 before being purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders at the IPL Player Auction 2014. He was one of the vital members of the KKR line-up with a lot more experience under his belt. The Karnataka batsman earned his maiden India cap in 2015 and also recently scored a match-winning ODI century against Australia in the CB series in Australia in 2016 which was a hint of his maturity. He was acquired by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for a sum of 11 crore which made him their most expensive buy in the 2018 IPL Player Auction and the Sunrisers instilled faith in him by retaining him for the 2019 edition too.

Afghanistan all-rounder and one of their most dependable players, Mohammad Nabi has got lots to prove at the premier cricketing league of the world,i.e., IPL. Nabi has been instrumental in Afghanistan’s rise through the ranks to the 2015 Cricket World Cup and their recent induction into the Test club. He is a right-hand middle order batsman and a clever off-spinner who has often chipped in with critical performances for Afghanistan. He has been retained at a price of Rs. 1 crore by SRH and would like to make an impact this season, which is also a world cup year.                 


Rashid Khan

The young Afghanistan leggie, Rashid Khan’s story is nothing short of a fairy tale which really is a tale of hard work and passion bringing deserved glory. He grew up in a war-torn Afghanistan and rose through the ranks by his impressive advancements first in tennis ball cricket and then at the higher levels. He has been retained for a humongous Rs 9 crores by the SRH management for the 2019 edition. The leg-spinner turned in a few memorable match-winning efforts in SRH’s journey to the finals the last edition. Khan took 21 wickets at a strike rate of 19.26 and emerged as the second-highest wicket taker in the 2018 edition. He would certainly be one of the biggest threats for opposition franchises in the upcoming event.                 



Sandeep Sharma

The right-arm medium pacer from Punjab, Sandeep Sharma rose to prominence during the 2012 Under-19 ICC Cricket World Cup. His four wickets in the final propelled India to the title and made him India’s joint highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 12 scalps. The pacer, who made his first-class debut in 2011, was also part of the Indian during the 2010 Under-19 ICC Cricket World Cup. He earned a contract with the Kings XI Punjab ahead of IPL 2013 and was bought back by the franchise in the 2014 Auction. He has earned high praise from experts for his ability to swing the ball and has played a key role for his state side Punjab in recent times. He picked up 17 wickets in the 2017 edition with best bowling figures of 4/20. He could be sharing new ball duties with Bhuvneshwar Kumar when he plays for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.                    


Shahbaz Nadeem

A left-arm spinner in the classical mould who relies on guile and flight to deceive batsmen, Shahbaz Nadeem is a vital cog in the SRH lineup and would pose tough challenges for the opposition batsmen. He has been a consistent performer for his state side, Jharkhand at the first-class level and has taken 401 wickets for them. He was transferred for a price of Rs. 3.2 crores from the Delhi Capitals to the Sunrisers Hyderabad side for the 2019 season. Nadeem would look to scale up his performance in the upcoming event and take SRH to higher horizons.                           


Shreevats Goswami

DOB       :              May 18, 1989

He idolises former Australian gloveman Adam Gilchrist and tries to emulate his playing style. A key contributor in the top order during India’s successful campaign at the 2008 U-19 World Cup in Malaysia, Goswami is safe behind the stumps and aggressive when armed with the bat. He was roped in by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the first two seasons of the IPL and performed modestly in the few outings he got. During his stint with the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2011, he only managed a top score of 22 in seven matches. Transferred to the Rajasthan Royals prior to IPL 2012, he kept wickets in 11 games in his first season with the franchise and affected four catches and four stumpings. He has not been on the IPL radar since then with the advent of new attacking wicketkeeper batsmen but Sunrisers have instilled faith in him and drafted him back in the mix.                     


Siddarth Kaul

Right-arm pacer, Siddarth Kaul, was part of the Indian team that won the 2008 Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia. He played a crucial role in the team’s victory and has since been making waves in the domestic circuit. Kaul has represented the Kolkata Knight Riders, and Delhi Daredevils in the past but has been a regular member in the Sunrisers squad since 2017. He made his ODI & T20I debuts for India in 2018. Kaul is more than a handy bowler in the shortest format of the game and is one of the key bowlers in the Sunrisers set up.                    


Khaleel Ahmed

Left-arm medium pacer and a recent recruit to the Indian national side, Khaleel Ahmed has been a proven performer at the youth level. Ahmed still has to match up to the expectations from him at the highest level and at the IPL though as he has been found wanting on occasions. He was initially inducted into the Delhi Capitals side for the 2016 IPL. He was subsequently bought by SRH and has been retained for Rs. 3 crores for the 2019 edition by them and would look to perform better in the upcoming IPL.                     


T Natarajan

Nationality          :              Indian

DOB       :              May 27, 1991

The left-arm medium pacer from Tamil Nadu is known for his bowling abilities in the domestic T20 circuit wherein he has sprung up match-winning performances for Tamil Nadu. It came as a pleasant surprise when he was the highest-paid uncapped Indian player, picked up by Kings XI Punjab in 2017. He played 6 games for the franchise but had just 2 wickets to his name. Natarajan would be hoping for a better show in the 2019 edition of the IPL when he represents Sunrisers Hyderabad.                       


Vijay Shankar

Vijay Shankar has been India’s go-to allrounder in the absence of Hardik Pandya. After making his debut in ODIs and T20Is for the national side, Shankar has only gone from strength to strength in his short stint with the Indian team. A handy bowler, with a strong batting technique and electric fielding capabilities, Shankar could well be in the scheme of things for the World Cup. After proving his worth in shorter formats, Delhi Capitals will be looking forward to a strong performance from the all-rounder this IPL season.                   


Wriddhiman Saha

Athletic wicket keeper and a more than handy contribute with the bat, Wriddhiman Saha has plied his skills Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab in earlier editions. He was retained at the price of Rs. 1 crore for the 2019 edition by SRH. Saha, who has scored in excess of 1,500 runs and has 74 dismissals to his name, would look to make a decent impact in the title runners-up in their quest for glory in 2019.

A promising all-rounder, Mitchell Marsh gained prominence as the skipper who led the Australian side to victory at the 2010 U-19 World Cup. Mitchell, the younger of former Australia batsman Geoff Marsh’s sons and the younger brother of Shaun Marsh, was then picked up by the Deccan Chargers ahead of IPL 2010. He earned his maiden call-up for Australia at the age of 19, in Australia’s Twenty20 squad to tour South Africa in late 2011. After impressing in his appearances in ODIs and T20Is, he then went on to make his Test debut against Pakistan in the UAE in 2014. After representing Deccan Chargers and Pune Warriors India earlier, the tall all-rounder will now represent Rising Pune Supergiants in IPL 2016.
