Hyderabad: Tuesday, May 14, marked a tragic day in Vikarabad district when a five-month-old infant fell victim to a fatal attack by a stray dog.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred while the infant’s mother briefly stepped away from their home to attend to her daily duties. Both parents of the victim were employed at a nearby stone polishing unit.

The dog somehow gained access to the room and attacked the sleeping child, resulting infant’s immediate death..

Furious at the news of the infant’s death, the neighbors killed the dog that they usually fed.
