Hyderabad: Telangana state education department is reportedly have submitted a report to the Telangana chief minister KCR, stating that the school, colleges, and other educational institutions can be reopened in Telangana as the COVID-19 cases are being controlled in the state.
If the submitted reports are accepted and approved by chief minister KCR after consulting in a high-level meeting of the education department officials in a day or two, schools and colleges in Telangana will finally reopen for physical classes from September 1, for classes 8 and above.
According to the union education ministry, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Nagaland, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh have reopened schools as of August 2.
Neighbouring state Andhra Pradesh is likely to reopen schools and colleges soon.
