Salman Khan Receives New Threat: ‘Pay ₹5 Crore to Resolve Conflict with Lawrence Bishnoi

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has received a death threat, reportedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding ₹5 crore to “resolve the conflict.” A WhatsApp message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police warned that if the money isn’t paid, the actor could face a fate worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was recently murdered, allegedly by members of the Bishnoi gang.

“Don’t take this lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay ₹5 crore. If the money is not provided, his situation will be worse than Baba Siddiqui’s,” the threat message stated.

Sources say that the Mumbai Police are tracing the origins of the message and have heightened security around Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. The actor has been on high alert due to previous threats, and this latest development has intensified concerns for his safety.

Mumbai: Mumbai Police’s efforts to take custody of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi have been blocked due to an order by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Despite Bishnoi’s gang claiming responsibility for high-profile incidents, like the April 2023 firing outside Salman Khan’s house and the recent murder of ex-Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, Bishnoi remains in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail.

Bishnoi was transferred from Delhi’s Tihar Jail to Sabarmati in August 2023 for a drug smuggling case. At the same time, the Ministry issued an order under Section 268 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), which prevents any state or agency from taking his custody for a year, as moving him could disrupt law and order. This order was initially valid until August 2024 but has now been extended for another year.

The Bishnoi gang first gained nationwide attention after claiming responsibility for the 2022 killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. They later claimed involvement in the firing outside Salman Khan’s residence, citing a desire for revenge over Khan’s alleged involvement in a 1998 blackbuck poaching case, a sacred animal to the Bishnoi community. Bishnoi publicly threatened Khan in 2018, stating his intention to kill the actor.

The recent murder of Baba Siddique has also been linked to Bishnoi’s gang. A gang member, now in custody, claimed that Siddique was killed due to his ties to wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim and his closeness to Salman Khan. Police are investigating these claims.

How Lawrence Bishnoi Operates 700 Shooters from Gujarat Jail !

Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious Indian gangster, has continued to operate a vast and intricate criminal empire even while being imprisoned. His gang gained significant attention after the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, and more recently after the killing of Mumbai politician Baba Siddique, for which members of the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility. Siddique was shot outside his son’s office by attackers allegedly linked to Bishnoi, despite the fact that Bishnoi himself is incarcerated in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail.

The Bishnoi Gang

The Bishnoi gang operates not just in India but also internationally, with significant connections in Canada, especially through key associate Goldy Brar. The gang’s activities span across Indian states like Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh. It is involved in a wide range of criminal activities, including extortion, murder, and arms trafficking, targeting high-profile individuals such as celebrities, liquor mafia, and businessmen. Despite Bishnoi being in prison, the gang remains highly active.

How Bishnoi Operates From Prison

Lawrence Bishnoi has been shifted between multiple jails, including Delhi’s Tihar Jail and Sabarmati Jail, but manages to communicate through smuggled mobile phones and encrypted messaging apps like Signal and Telegram. These devices are often fitted with VPNs to mask his location. His network is global, maintaining connections with his brother Anmol and associates like Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara, who are based abroad, particularly in North America. The gang also has links to Khalistani terrorist groups.

The Gang’s Structure and Operations

Bishnoi’s gang functions like a corporate organization, with different divisions handling logistics, legal matters, and information gathering. The gang employs around 700 shooters, many of whom are poor, underage boys recruited through local gangs. These shooters receive arms training and are paid for contract killings or political assassinations, though they often don’t even know who they are working for, only given a target to kill.

High-Profile Crimes

The gang has been involved in several high-profile cases, from extorting Punjabi singers to plotting the assassination of Bollywood actor Salman Khan due to his involvement in a blackbuck hunting case—a sacred animal for the Bishnoi community. Investigations revealed that the Bishnoi gang had planned to acquire sophisticated firearms from Pakistan, including AK-47s and other advanced weapons. This plan was linked to the assassination of Sidhu Moose Wala and a plot against Salman Khan, with a ₹25 lakh contract placed on the actor’s life.

Conclusion

Even from behind bars, Lawrence Bishnoi remains a powerful figure, running a large criminal enterprise with global reach. His ability to organize and carry out violent acts from prison, using a sophisticated network of associates and modern technology, has put him at the center of India’s organized crime world. The recent murder of Baba Siddique has once again highlighted how deeply entrenched Bishnoi’s operations are, despite his incarceration.
