Hyderabad: Progressive Recognised Teachers’ Union, Telangana State (PRTU TS), met CM K Chandrashekhar Rao and requested him to temporarily postpone the reopening of schools due to the prevailing Covid-19 situation and to continue with online classes along with 50 percent teachers attending schools.

Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy was also present in the meeting.

According to PRTU TS president Pingili Sripal Reddy, “The CM said schools will not be reopened in haste and online classes will be conducted for Classes VI to X with 50 percent teachers’ attendance in the schools,”
