Vice Principal, Lecturer Parents Kills Both Daughters in AP Claimed They Could Revive Daughter
Hyderabad: Two young sisters Alekhya (27) and Sai Divya (23) in their 20s were killed apparently by their highly educated parents in Chittoor district AP.
According to police, they were hit by a dumbbell while participating in a puja ritual. the sisters were clad in a red saree and the parents seemed to be highly delusional. Parents were claiming that they could revive both daughters if they were given time till tonight.
The parents Valleru Purushottam Naidu and Padmaja has been taken in custody and a post-mortem of the bodies is underway, the police said.
Father, Naidu is a Chemistry professor and vice-principal at the Government Girls’ Degree College in Madanapalle, and mother Padmaja a gold medalist, postgraduate in mathematics, a lecturer at IIT coaching institute.
Both Sisters had head injuries and bled to death, the couple are suspected to have allegedly murdered their daughters late Sunday afternoon, the police said.
Elder daughter Alekhya work at Bhopal’s Indian Institute of Forest Management and had recently resigned to prepare for civil services exam. The younger daughter Sai Divya was a graduate and was pursuing music at a Chennai-based A R Rahman institute.
