Mohammed Siraj’s First Test Wicket in Australia Dedicate to his Late Father

Hyderabad: people in Hyderabad was joyful to watch on Saturday morning as Hyderabadi cricketer Mohammed Siraj began to play his first test cricket match.

The expectations of Hyderabad cricket lovers were not belied, when Siraj claimed his first wicket and Hyderabad almost erupted in joy.

Mohammed Siraj took first 43 balls in test cricket to capture his first Test wicket when he had the dangerous Marnus Labuschagne caught at backward short leg. Labuschagne, who was hit on the helmet by a vicious Siraj bouncer earlier, tried to play the ball on leg side but it went to Gill, who caught it nicely.

Mohammed Siraj on Saturday made a dream Test debut as he claimed two wickets by conceding just 40 runs.

Siraj pointed towards the sky to dedicate his first Test wicket to his Dad, who passed away while the young bowler was in Australia. Siraj was not able to attend the funeral of his father, who despite being an auto-rickshaw driver, had tirelessly worked to see his son represent India in the future.

Mohammed Siraj Mother after the First wicket, Said

“Yeh sab Allah ka Fazal Hai”

(It is all the grace of Almighty)

Thanks to Allah, his father would be proud of him today,”
