Khammam: A tragic incident occurred in Khammam on Sunday, where a 40-year-old man named Mahesh Babu was electrocuted after unintentionally placing an electric heater under his arm while he was distracted on a phone call. Mahesh Babu, a coconut vendor, was in the process of preparing to bathe his pet dog when the accident happened.

According to Inspector Ramesh from the 3-town police station, Mahesh Babu had turned on the electric heater to warm water for his dog’s bath. As he received a phone call, he became engrossed in the conversation and, without realizing it, placed the heater under his arm. The direct contact with the electrical device led to his electrocution.

His daughter, who was nearby, witnessed the incident and immediately screamed for help. Her cries alerted Mahesh Babu’s wife and local residents, who quickly rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, doctors declared Mahesh Babu dead upon arrival.

This tragic accident underscores the dangers of handling electrical appliances carelessly, especially when distracted. The community has been left in shock by the sudden and preventable loss of Mahesh Babu, who was well-known as a coconut vendor in the area.
