Hyderabad: In a horrifying incident in Akber Bagh, Malakpet, Akbar Khan, a 4o-year-old watchman died by suicide in full public view by touching a live High Voltage wire on Monday afternoon.
A video of the incident is going viral on social media.
According to sources, a watchman at a building near Dilkusha function hall lived along with his family in the same apartment building. After a quarrel with his wife over some issue and in a fit of rage had left home straight to climb on the transformer at around 1.30 pm on Monday, he climbed on transformer poles even as people watched, he touched the high voltage wire on the pole, electrocuted and fell from on earth and died on the spot.
Saidabad police shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
