Mamata Banerjee, 24 Hour Banned from Election Campaigning in West Bengal

Kolkata, 12 April: Mamata Banerjee, Wet Bengal CM and TMC president, was banned on Monday for 24 hours from election campaigning in West Bengal.

She was allegedly breaking the law with her comments on Muslim votes and for urging voters to revolt against central security forces.

The ban will last till 8 PM on Tuesday, Election Commissioner Sunil Arora’s final order came during the multiple phase of West Bengal election, Another four phases of voting left in an intense campaign fighting Mamata Banerjee against a several BJP leaders including PM Narendra Modi.
