KTR Inaugurates Medtronic Engineering & Innovation Center

Hyderabad, 07 April: K T Rama Rao, who is also a Telangana Industries Minister, inaugurates Medtronic Engineering & Innovation Center at Nanakramguda BSR Tech Park, it cost Rs. 1200 crore to set up this center.

Medtronic Engineering & Innovation Center will make world-class medical device engineering and innovations. The new center will provide employment to 1000 people. Medtronic is set to set up its largest research & development center in Hyderabad after the United States.

Medtronic Engineering & Innovation Center, Hyderabad, is a captive engineering research & development center (MEIC) was established in Hyderabad, India in June 2011. The R&D center was established to build collaborative relationships, helping improve procedural outcomes while enhancing patient quality of life. The center provides advanced engineering R & D support to the Global Business Units in the areas of design, analysis, hardware, software development and testing, while developing a footprint for future product development for the region and country. MEIC has been leveraging the local presence and eco system to support regional business needs.
