Hyderabad: The famous Khairatabad Ganesh idol in Hyderabad will stand at 70 feet this year, marking its 70th anniversary, an increase from last year’s 63 feet. Crafted using organic colors and clay materials, the idol underscores environmental sustainability. Singari Raj Kumar, the key organizer, mentioned the inclusion of Bala Ramudu and events like Srinivas Kalyanam and Shiva Parvathula Kalyanam. The theme is Sri Saptamukha Maha Shakti Ganapathi. The construction costs are estimated between Rs 80 to 90 lakhs, potentially exceeding due to the grand celebration. Around 150 workers from various states are ensuring the idol’s completion ahead of the festival.
