Israel ‘Must be Punished’ for Syria Embassy Attack – Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Tehran: On Wednesday, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared that Israel “must be punished and it shall be”  This statement comes after an intensified conflict between Israel and its regional foes. Suspected Israeli aircraft targeted Iran’s consulate in Damascus on April 1. Iran reported the death of seven military advisors in the attack and pledged to respond.

Addressing the situation during a speech concluding the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, Khamenei asserted, “The evil regime made a mistake and must be punished and it shall be,”
