Hyderabad: The Telangana Board of Intermediate has declared an intermediate exam results for both 1st year and 2nd year on Thursday by Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy.
Girls have outperformed boys in the results of the intermediate public examinations which were released here on Thursday.
Total 4.11 lakh students who appeared for the TS Inter second year examination 2020, 1,98,510 were boys and 2,13,121 were girls. The pass percentage of girls was recorded at 75.15 percent, while 62.11 percent of boys cleared the exam.
In the first year, 4,80,555 students had appeared for Telangana TS Inter Exams and the overall pass percentage of 60.01% has been recorded. For the second year, 4,11,651 students had appeared for the exam. The overall pass percentage is at 68.86%.
Around 9.65 lakh students have appeared for the intermediate exam this year.
TSBIE conducted the last intermediate papers of Geography Paper-II, Modern Language-Paper-II on 18 May, which was earlier scheduled for 23 March. The exam was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 856 students appeared for the exam.
To clear the TSBIE exams, students need to secure at least 35 percent marks in each subject and aggregate.
Medchal Tops in Intermediate Results
Medchal emerged as the top-performing region, where a total of 45,041 cleared the exam. The pass percentage among students in 2nd year TS Inter exam was 75% in the Medchal district.
In the first year Telangana Intermediate exam, the Medchal district emerged as the top-performing district, where a total of 59,751 students had appeared for the exam. The overall pass percentage of Medchal was at 76 percent after 45,169 students passed the 1st year exam.
Kumaram Bheem-Asifabad district with 74 percent in the second-year results. Medak was at the bottom of the table with 42 percent of passes. In the first-year result too, Medchal district topped the chart with 76 percent of passes while Medak was in the last position with 36 percent of passes.
How to check TS Inter Result 2020:
Step 1: Go to the official website of the board – bie.telangana.gov.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads, ‘Inter Result 2020’
Step 3: You will be directed to a new page, where you will have to enter your roll number and other required credentials
Step 4: Your TS Inter 1st year Result 2020 or TS Inter 2nd Year Result 2020 will appear on the screen.
Students can also check their TS Inter first and second-year results in 2020 at the state government’s mobile application – T App Folio.
The official website of the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) may become unresponsive owing to the heavy traffic it might experience after the result announcement.
In such a case, students can check results on alternative websites like examresults.net, indiaresults.com, www.examresults.ts.nic.in, manabadi.com and manabadi.co.in. or via SMS and app on their phones.
Complains
Students and parents can lodge any complaint by logging onto the website http://www.bigrs.telangana.gov.in/.
The BIE said the marks register of all the colleges will be dispatched to the district intermediate education officers/nodal officers concerned within five days.
The principals can collect the memoranda of marks from the district intermediate education officers/nodal officers on June 22 and the same has to be handover to the students at the earliest, the Board said.
Discrepancies, if any, found in the memoranda of marks should be referred to the Board through principals concerned before July 17. Applications received after the last date will be not entertained.
The last date for payment of fee towards the recounting/scanned copy-cum-re-verification is June 24. The candidates who wish to go in for recounting have to pay Rs.100 per paper and Rs.600 per paper for the scanned copy-cum-re-verification. The payment has to made through the BIE website http://tsbie.cgg.gov.in.
Psychological Counseling
The Minister after releasing the results on Thursday said the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) is providing free psychological counseling assistance to help students overcome any problem related to stress, tension, anxiety, and nervousness, etc.
