JCB Action by HYDRA, Demolished 3 Illegal Buildings in Serilingampally, Vaishali Nagar

Hyderabad: The Telangana government is swiftly continuing its efforts to remove encroachments as part of the initiative to protect public properties. Recently, the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Cell (HYDRA) focused on removing illegal constructions on plot numbers 148, 149, and 150 in the buffer zone of Erla Cheruvu, Road No. 7, in Hafeez Nagar. Following complaints over the past few days, HYDRA, along with Vigilance Enforcement and GHMC staff, carried out large-scale demolitions on Saturday.

HYDRA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath personally oversaw these demolitions. He warned that the government would take strict action against illegal constructions on encroached government lands and lakes. The Commissioner emphasized that illegal structures are a major cause of flooding in the city each year, and these preventive actions are necessary to eliminate such issues by removing encroachments from drainage channels and lake buffer zones.

In addition, HYDRA is also cracking down on illegal constructions in Shivarampally within the Rajendranagar area. It is reported that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has taken these encroachments seriously, prompting HYDRA officials to demolish the illegal structures. Moreover, HYDRA staff demolished 52 illegal constructions in the buffer zone of Chintal Cheruvu in Gajularamaram, as well as illegal structures in the park area of Nandagiri Hills Layout in Jubilee Hills.
