People to Shift from Low-Lying Areas of Hyderabad

Following a forecast of heavy rains in city, MAUD Minister KT Rama Rao has requested the people in low-lying areas to shift to relief camps and asked public representatives, NGOs and others to join the government machinery in taking up relief measures.

It is raining again, heavy downpour is predicted. Request all citizens to avoid travel as far as possible. Please be careful while driving.

8:00 AM, IST, Traffic Closed on Puranapul Parallel Bridge

The new bridge running parallel to the Puranapul bridge was closed for traffic on Sunday night after authorities noticed that a small portion of a pillar was damaged. The traffic is now being diverted through the Musalam Jung Bridge.

Traffic is not allowed and also Road between Saroornagar and Gaddiannaram is closed due to water logging.

9 AM, IST, DMRL to MBNR X Roads Closed

Traffic is not allowed between DMRL to MBNR X Roads due to waterlogging, Falaknuma Railway bridge to MBNR X Roads, and Aramgarh to Bandlaguda due to waterlogging in Falaknuma Traffic PS limits.

8 AM, IST, King Kothi Hospital Road Closed

A tree has fallen near King koti Hospital. Commuters please make note and take alternate route.

With heavy rains and steady inflows, two gates of Himayath Sagar were opened late on Saturday evening.

Himayath Sagar gates, which were opened after almost a decade on Tuesday midnight, were closed on Saturday morning.

5: 30 PM IST, Falaknuma Bridge Closed

Due to minor damage and for the safety of citizens, the Road is closed from Falaknuma bridge towards Mahaboobnagar Cross road. Kindly take alternate route.

5 PM IST, Collapse of DRDO near Baba Nagar

Collapse of DRDO wall at C Block and Some houses in Hafeez Baba Nagar area were submerged in Flood, Kanchanbagh PS Staff with help of local youth shifted 40 members to a Community hall.

5 PM IST, Durgam Cheruvu Bridge is opened

The Durgam Cheruvu Bridge is opened for vehicular traffic in view of prevailing traffic situation due to heavy rains. Public may use the DCB to and from Jubilee Hills and Hitech City. Do Not Stop On the bridge.  

5 PM IST, Aramgarh Road Closed

The Cyberabad Police have asked motorists to avoid using the Old Kurnool road i.e. the Aramgarh – RGI Airport Road to reach the airport as there was heavy water logging due to the rains. The police advised the motorists to use the Outer Ring Road to travel to the RGI Airport and beyond.

5 PM IST, Water logging at Tolichowki

Traffic movement is slow towards Mehdipatnam from Bio-Diversity & Gachibowli due to Water logging at Tolichowki. Alternate Route: Gachibowli – Nanakramguda Rotary – Narsingi – Langer House – Nanal Nagar – Mehdipatnam.
