Tamil Nadu CM Announces Rs 10 Crore Flood Relief for Hyderabad

Chennai: EK Palaniswami, Tamil Nadu chief minister on Monday announced Rs 10 crore from the Tamil Nadu chief minister’s public relief fund to the government of Telangana for flood relief.


EK Palaniswami in a letter to Telangana chief minister KCR said,

“As a token of support and solidarity of the government and people of Tamil Nadu with the government and people of Telangana in their hour of need, I have ordered the immediate contribution of a sum of Rs 10 crore from the CM’s public relief fund to the government of Telangana. We are also sending blankets and mats as relief material to the affected families.”

EK Palaniswami hailed the efficient handling of the disaster and the response of the TS towards relief and rescue, and said,

“At this difficult time, on behalf of the state government and people of Tamil Nadu, I convey my heartfelt condolences to the family members of all those who have lost their lives in rain and floods,”
