India a day close to be Second Worst Hit Country After USA by surpassing Brazil.
India, close to second worst coronavirus-hit countries in the world, has crossed 4 million (40 lakhs) CoronaVirus cases. The country, which reported 87,115 cases on Friday, now has 40,20,239 total cases, including 68,635 total deaths.
The everyday death figure in India is also touching worrying numbers, on Friday, India reported 1,066 deaths.
Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh are the top five states which reporting the highest number of cases in recent days. These five states account for over 62% of the active cases, according to the Health Ministry.
The Central government is trying to enhance testing to prevent growth of the virus in the population. It said more than 11.70 lakh samples were tested for two successive days (Wednesday and Thursday).
On 4th September India records the highest numbers more than 87,000 cases followed by on 3rd September more than 84,000 cases. Since last 3 days India recording more than 1,000 death daily.
Even though the recovery rates are is around 77% and deaths are in the range of 2% the number of new cases is rapidly increasing.

- On 15th February Indian had only 3 cases, after 93 days,
- On 18th May Indian reached 1 Lakhs (100,000) CoronaVirus cases, after 39 days,
- On 26th June India surpasses 5 Lakhs (500,000) CoronaVirus cases, and again in just 20 days,
- On 16th July India reached 10 Lakhs (One Million) CoronaVirus cases and again, in just 21 days,
- On 6th August India reached 20 Lakhs (Two Million) CoronaVirus cases, and in just another 16 days,
- On 22nd August India reached 30 Lakhs (Three Million) CoronaVirus cases, and in just another 13 days,
- On 04th September India reached 40 Lakhs (Four Million) CoronaVirus cases.
