The four-lane passage will facilitate the smooth flow of traffic at Hitec City station and also reduce traffic congestion on the Manjeera pipeline road
Hyderabad, 28 March: Road under Bridge (RuB) at Hitec City MMTS station to be inaugurated by GHMC n April 8. Rub will ease much awaited traffic from Kukatpally to Madhapur and Hitec City.
For many years motorists, especially IT companies’ employees in Madhapur and Gachibowli, were losing time in traffic jam and demanding the GHMC to construct a Rub to ease traffic congestion in the area.
Existing bridge being too narrow, all motorists, to Hitec City from Kukatpally are forced to travel at a snail’s pace and get stuck in traffic jams near the structure.
The GHMC constructed the RuB as part of the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) at a cost of around Rs 59 crore. The four-lane passage will facilitate the smooth flow of traffic at Hitec City station and also reduce traffic congestion on the Manjeera pipeline road.
Railways has executed the RuB portion works, while GHMC has taken up the balance works, including approach road earthworks, retaining wall and RCC box drain works.
