Lucknow: Even as the number of Covid19 patients and deaths due to the second wave of pandemic continue to surge in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government is equipping with oximeters and thermal scanners for cows in shelters (gaushalas) across the state.
UP chief minister with an aim to protect Cows from Covid-19 infections, directed concerned authorities to the setup help desk for protection of cows in every district.
As per the directives all cow shelters will also be equipped with all the medical equipment such as oximeters and thermal scanners for cows and other animals as well.
According to the official data, more than 4.6 lakhs of cows are kept at 4,529 temporary cow shelters.
