Hyderabad: M Fareed, auto-rickshaw driver on Thursday returned a bag containing valuables that were left in his vehicle by two NRI passengers in the morning.
An NRI. Anup Dhage, came to Hyderabad from New York to perform their father’s last rites after he died of Covid-19 in a local hospital.
Anup hired the auto-rickshaw from their residence at Himayatnagar to reach the hospital to claim his deceased father’s body, they realized that left the bag containing passports, gold ornaments, Rs 1 lakh cash, and US dollars in auto-rickshaw.
Anup with his sister who also came with him from the USA rushed to Abid’s police station to complain.
As they were about to enter the Abids PS, they received a call from their neighbor in Himayathnagar saying an auto-rickshaw driver had come with a bag saying the passengers from this home had left it in his vehicle.
Anup Dhage said, “He is a ‘Farishta’ (an angel).” And he found all the belongings in the bag were intact.
