‘God Declared Dead’ to Grab Temple Land in UP

During consolidation of land records in 1987, Lord Krishna-Ram was declared ‘dead’, and the trust was transferred to Gaya Prasad as his property.

Lucknow: The deity of a temple was ‘declared dead’ to grab a temple land in Kushmaura Haluvapur village in the Mohanlalganj area of Uttar Pradesh.

A 100-year-old temple spread over 7,000 sq km and manage by trust registered in the name of Lord Krishna-Ram.

Earlier, Gaya Prasad was added to the land record documents as the father of Lord Krishna-Ram.

During consolidation of land records in 1987, Lord Krishna-Ram was declared ‘dead’, and the trust was transferred to Gaya Prasad as his property.

Further in 1991, Gaya Prasad was declared dead. The trust transferred to his brothers Ramnath and Haridwar.

Twenty-five years later, when the temple’s original trustee Sushil Kumar Tripathi filed a complaint with Naib-Tehsildar in 2016. The case reached to Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma office through district magistrate without any outcomes.

It has now surfaced that multiple mutations of the land have fraudulently taken place, and somebody had forged the documents in the name of the man, who originally registered the trust.
