GHMC Emergency Teams on High Alert Amid Heavy Rain in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In response to ongoing heavy rains in Hyderabad, the GHMC has mobilized Monsoon Emergency Teams and Static Teams throughout the city. Residents in low-lying areas have been advised to stay indoors unless necessary.

These special teams have addressed waterlogging in various locations such as Allwyn Colony, Uppal Circle, Karwan, Balanagar, and ECIL X roads. Authorities are coordinating to mitigate traffic issues and issuing regular weather warnings to the public.

Currently, there are 238 static teams, 154 monsoon emergency teams, 30 HYDRA teams, and 29 CRMP teams active. Due to rising water levels at Hussain Sagar, officials have opened the sluice gates. The twin reservoirs are also experiencing significant inflows, with Osman Sagar’s water level recorded at 1755.55 feet.
