Four Arrested For Black-Marketing Remdesivir Drug in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Four people including a pharmacist, lab technician were arrested by the Rachakonda police on Monday for Black-marketing, selling the COVID-19 antiviral drug Remdesivir at higher prices in black. 

The accused were arrested by the special operations team (SOT), LB Nagar zone.

The accused identified as…

  1. Nomula Praveen, a billing manager in Diya hospital, Bairamalguda
  2. Maraboyana Kondal, a pharmacist at Children’s hospital at Malakpet.
  3. K Ramesh, a lab technician at Shyam Hospital, BN Reddy Nagar
  4. Jogu Praveen, a pharmacist in Shyam Hospital, BN Reddy Nagar. 

The police seized three Remdesivir injections and five mobile phones from their possession and booked them under sec 51 (B) Disaster management act under the Meerpet police station limits.
