Hyderabad: Former Task Force DCP T Radha Kishan Rao, who is a suspect in the Telangana phone tapping case, was reportedly involved in an incident at Chanchalguda Central Prison. Initially, reports suggested that he was attacked by a cat while sleeping in his cell in the Krishna Barrack, resulting in a minor leg injury with no bleeding. He was given first aid on the premises.
However, Chanchalguda Jail Superintendent Shivakumar Goud refuted these rumors, stating that there was no cat attack and that Rao is safe. Although a cat did jump on him while he was asleep, Rao did not sustain any injuries. As a precaution, a tetanus injection was administered, but there was no need for hospitalization.
Earlier… Former Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) T Radha Kishan Rao, who confessed to extensive phone tapping of political leaders in Telangana, claimed that the operation was orchestrated by Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) Chief Prabhakar Rao. Under Prabhakar Rao’s direction, SIB systematically gathered information on these individuals, which was then relayed to SIB DSP Praneeth Kumar for continuous monitoring. Those under surveillance included prominent figures such as MLC Shambipur Raju, T. Rajaiah, Kadiyam Srihari, Patnam Mahender Reddy and his wife, retired IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar, and media personalities Narendra Chowdary of NTV and Radhakrishna of ABN.
