Final Exams to Conduct in the Same College where the Students have Studied, CoE Osmania University

Hyderabad: Osmania university issued special instructions to Chief Superintendents to conduct Exams of Final Semester/Year Students in the Same College where the Students have Studied.

The University to conduct the theory examinations of final semester/ final year in Offline/conventional mode.

All examination centers are constituted, are requested to strictly adhere to the Covid-19 protocols including thermally screening of the students.

The students who were not able to attend for reasons of health or other unavoidable situations, the University will conduct another special examination as and when possible.

Following is full context of Special instructions to Chief Superintendents issued by Controller of Examination:

The University has decided to conduct the theory examinations of final semester/ final year in Offline/conventional mode.
As per the standing committee decision and Government Letter No. 1676/MC/2020, dated 11.09.2020, the University has decided to constitute the examination centers, to the maximum extent, in the same college where the students have studied. A senior faculty of the University or a Govt. Degree college shall be appointed as special observer to such centers. In the cases where the strength of the students is very less or when a particular college is under progressive closure/sleeping mode, the examination centers for such colleges will be constituted at nearby colleges.
All the Colleges, where examination centers are constituted, are requested to strictly adhere to the Covid-19 protocols and take every step to sanitize the rooms/premises before and after every examination session and hand sanitizers and, if needed the face masks, must be made available to the students and staff. All those entering into the premises must be thoroughly thermally screened before being allowed to into the center.
All the students shall be advised to attend the examinations scheduled by the University as per the Govt. Memo No.1676/MC/2020, dated 07-09-2020 to save their precious academic year and to proceed for their higher studies.
It is also informed that for such students who will not be able to appear for all examinations of the semester/year, for reasons of health or other unavoidable situations, the University will conduct another special examination as and when feasible.
The Second Internal Test, if not conducted already, may be conducted by respective colleges in Online/Offline or blended mode and the marks of the same should be uploaded through the link provided by the Examination Branch.
Conduct of examinations pertaining to 2-credit courses, such as SEC, GE & other courses, will be entrusted to the Principals of respective colleges. Once such examinations are over and valuation is done, the Principals shall upload the awards through the link provided by the Examination Branch. The answer scripts of the same should also be sent to the respective sections of the examination branch. This process shall be completed within the time as stipulated by the Examination branch.
Conduct of Practical Examinations is also entrusted to respective colleges. Practical examinations may be conducted in Offline/online mode and scripts of the same should be sent to the examination branch after uploading the marks through the link provided by the branch. Project/Seminar/internships vivas may be conducted in online mode.
The above special provision shall be applicable only for the current academic session 2019-2020 as a one-time measure due to COVID-19 pandemic situation.
