Fake Doctor Arrested under PD Act by Rachakonda Police

Hyderabad: A fake doctor, who was responsible for the deaths of two Covid19 patients, was detained by the Rachakonda police under the PD act on Monday. 

the accused Pollampally Sai Kumar, an intermediate pass out arrested also in Two more cases, each in the limits of the Ameerpet and LB Nagar police stations for posing as a doctor and treating people despite being unqualified, later he was granted bail and came out of prison. 

Between 2006 to 2011, he worked as an assistant in the operation theatre at a hospital in Santosh Nagar.

The accused surprisingly ran a clinic for eight years in Meerpet. He also worked in private hospitals like Radhika hospital at Balapur crossroads, Orange hospital at LB Nagar, and Jeevan hospital at Karmanghat as a ‘consultant’. 
However, the deaths of two patients at the hands of Sai Kumar treated, who he treated at Orange Hospital, LB Nagar during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic led to him being booked on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder with the LB Nagar police station.

Hence, to prevent him from indulging in such activities Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat invoked the PD act against him on April 19, he was absconding, However, he was arrested after Meerpet police launched a hunt and took him into custody on Monday and send him to Judicial Custody.
