Hyderabad: Eight individuals associated with various job consultancies were arrested by the Jubilee Hills police on Sunday for kidnapping a businessman and stealing property from his residence. The suspects were angered over non-payment for their services.
Key Details:
- Arrested Individuals: K Gowatham (26), K Jagadeesh (34), K Siva Shankar Reddy (24), S Sujith Kumar (24), Kamal Teja (27), Shaik Azad (24), K Mukesh (33), and Rakesh alias Praveen (24).
- Victims: Vakati Madhavi, her son Ravichandra Reddy, and their company Gigieaz Private Limited.
- Stolen Property: The stolen items included 84 laptops, 4 cars, 5 phones, and 3 passports.
Incident Description:
- Kidnapping: Azad, Mukesh, and Jagadeesh kidnapped Ravichandra Reddy and confined him in a hotel on Srisailam Road, demanding a settlement of financial issues.
- Robbery: The other suspects entered Ravichandra’s house in Jubilee Hills and took away the property.
Motive:
- Financial Dispute: There were financial issues between Jagadeesh and Ravichandra. Jagadeesh had provided personnel to Ravichandra’s company Gigieaz Private Limited, but Ravichandra allegedly failed to make the payment, leading to a dispute and subsequent criminal actions.
Police Statement:
- ACP Jubilee Hills, K Hari Prasad, stated that the financial disputes between Jagadeesh and Ravichandra were the root cause of the incident.
