Dilip Ghosh, Mithun Chakraborty Instigated Violence in West Bengal: Police Complaint

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) worker has filed a police complaint at the Manicktala police station in Kolkata against West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh and actor Mithun Chakraborty for ‘instigating and provoking’ BJP workers.

TMC worker, Mrityunjoy Paul said Dilip Ghosh and Mithun Chakraborty instigated and provoked BJP workers in “spreading violence and brutality in the whole state of West Bengal”.

Mrityunjoy Paul in his complaint refers to alleged statements by Dilip Ghosh and Mithun Chakraborty that he believes caused “murder, grievous hurt, assault, and injury” to TMC workers ‘who have been deprived of their homes.

“The BJP workers have burned down and destroyed the houses of the TMC workers and the TMC workers are roaming around the streets homeless and helpless at the moment,” says the complaint presented to Kolkata Police.

Mrityunjoy Paul in his complaint further refers to Mithun Chakraborty’s alleged remarks from the election campaign – “Marbo Ekhane Laash Porbe Shoshane” and “Ek Chobole Chobi” – They roughly translate to I will hit you here and your body will fall in the crematorium. the complainant claims these remarks provoked BJP workers to carry out violence against TMC workers.
