Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy humorously offered the Deputy CM post to AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi amid discussions on the Old City of Hyderabad’s metro rail project. CM further told “My friend has given 10 years to his old friend. I ask for just four years. It is my responsibility to extend services from the Old City. I will only ask for votes after completing the project.”
Reddy assured that the project would be completed before the next assembly polls and sought Owaisi’s support for the Congress candidate in Chandrayangutta.
He even proposed that Owaisi run for the Kodangal seat on a Congress ticket, promising to ensure his victory and make him Deputy CM. Owaisi responded with a laugh, affirming his lifelong commitment to AIMIM and said his political journey started in AIMIM, grew up in AIMIM, and will end in AIMIM.
