CAA to be Implemented in West Bengal if BJP Wins Elections: Amit Shah

Kolkata, 21 March: Amit Shah, on Sunday unveiled the BJP’s poll manifesto for the West Bengal Assembly elections. 

During the meeting Amit Shah (Home Minister) said, “The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will be implemented in the first Cabinet meeting and refugees who have been staying here for 70 years will be given citizenship. Each refugee family will get Rs 10,000 per year for five years.”

Shah further said, “We have decided to call BJP manifesto a Sankalp Patra. It is not just a manifesto but a resolution letter for West Bengal by the country’s largest party. We will create a Sonar Bangla.”

“We have decided that no infiltrators will be allowed in Bengal and border fencing will be strengthened,” Shah further said. 

Amit Shah’s statement carries much importance, against the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has several times said that TMC would not allow the implementation of CAA and National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the West Bengal.
