Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s office market is experiencing substantial growth, with a 40% increase in office space leasing for the first half of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. According to a Cushman & Wakefield report, gross leasing volume is expected to reach five million square feet by June 2024, up from 3.6 million square feet in H1 2023. This surge is driven by demand from both domestic and global companies, solidifying Hyderabad’s status as a prime business destination.
Realtors attribute this boom to the Congress government’s rise to power in December 2023. Contributing factors include a favorable business ecosystem, ongoing infrastructure improvements, a supportive regulatory environment, and a stable political climate. Additionally, Hyderabad offers cost-effective real estate options and a skilled talent pool, making it an attractive investment destination.
The demand is particularly strong for high-quality Grade-A office buildings, reflecting businesses’ preference for modern workspaces. This growth in office leasing is also positively impacting other sectors, such as residential, co-living, and student housing, creating a vibrant ecosystem that supports a growing workforce and diverse business needs.
Hyderabad’s continued investment in infrastructure and talent attraction positions it as a leading market for office space in India, fostering a dynamic environment for businesses of all sizes. Telangana Chief Minister Revant Reddy highlighted this growth on social media, emphasizing the government’s focus on delivering results and envisioning further development for Hyderabad.
