Bharat Bandh: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Under House Arrest: AAP

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal under house arrest since his return after visiting farmers, says AAP.

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi has alleged that CM Arvind Kejriwal has been put under a virtual house arrest since he returned after visiting the protesting farmers at the Singhu border on Monday.

AAP leaders have alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been put under house arrest-like conditions since Monday after he returned from Singhu border where he met the farmer leaders.

APP office says, all meetings of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have been cancelled.

AAP further claimed that on the instruction of, Amit Shah and Ministry of Home Affairs, three mayors of the municipal corporation of Delhi started a dharna outside the main gate of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence.

Mentioning this dharna, Delhi police have barricaded Kejriwal’s residence, AAP leaders have said.

Saurabh Bhardwaj, AAP MLA has said, even our MLAs are also not being allowed to meet the Chief Minister. APP members will march to the CM’s house and meet him and get him out of the house so that he can stand with the farmers.

Delhi Police in their tweet denied the claim and clarified as…

“This claim of CM Delhi being put on house arrest is incorrect. He exercises his right to free movement within the law of the land. A picture of the house entrance says it all.”
