Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner K. Sreenivasa Reddy suspended a women Assistant Sub Inspector from Saidabad police station after she shook hands and hugged Hyderabad BJP Lok Sabha candidate Madhavi Latha during a campaign event.
The ASI was assigned to security duty for Madhavi Latha and BJP supporters.
A video showing the ASI approaching and embracing the BJP candidate was shared on social media, prompting senior police officials to initiate an investigation and take disciplinary action against the ASI.
