Bhopal: Sarabjeet Singh Mokha, the Director of Jabalpur’s City Hospital, who is also the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) president of the Narmada division, and 3 more persons were arrested for procuring and administering fake Remdesivir a drug used in the treatment of COVID-19
Sarabjeet is accused of sourcing 500 fake Remdesivir injections from Indore, which they administered to many COVID-19 patients.
The other accused in the case are Devendra Chaurasia works as Mokha’s manager, Sapan Jain who handles dealerships with pharmaceutical companies.
They were booked under Sections 274, 275, 308, and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
The incident was exposed after a team of Gujarat Police bust a fake Remdesivir manufacturing unit and arrested Jain from Jabalpur on May 7.
The VHP has strongly come down on the incident and has relieved the accused of all duties in the party and also demanded strict action against him.
