Hyderabad: In Hyderabad’s Nampally constituency, workers from the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and the Congress party clashed on Monday, leaving five people injured. The incident took place during a padayatra led by Congress candidate Feroz Khan.

Tensions escalated when AIMIM’s sitting MLA, Mohd Majid Hussain, confronted the Congress group, sparking a chaotic brawl. A man even snatched a lathi from a female constable and hit a Congress worker on the head. Videos circulating on social media showed the MLA hurling abuses at Congress members.

Local police had a hard time managing the situation, and additional forces were called in to restore order across areas like Bazarghat, Red Hills, and Nampally.
