Abu Faisal Arrested at Hyderabad Airport for hate-Speech on Social Media
Hyderabad, 26 FEB: The Hyderabad Airport immigration authorities today arrested Abu Faisal on charges of hate speeches.
Abu Faisal, who arrived in Hyderabad airport today from Dubai, was arrested and handed over to the Hyderabad Cyber Crimes police.
Though he was based in Dubai (UAE), he has been allegedly making inflammatory statements on social media forcing the police to initiate Suo-moto action against him.
Dubai base Abu Faisal, a resident of Barkas was wanted in cases of claimed hate-mongering on social media.
Cyber-crimes police at Hyderabad registered a case under IPC section 153(A) (promoting disharmony, enmity, or feelings of hatred between different groups) other sections of IT act against Abu Faisal in May 2020.
After registering cases a Look Out Circular (LoC) against Abu Faisal was issued airports across the country against the entry of the accused.
Later he was produced before the Nampally metropolitan criminal courts at Hyderabad.
