The IFS officer identified as V. B. Ramana Murthy officer working with the AP Forest department is alleged to have been depressed and committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of his residence.

Hyderabad: An Indian Forest Service (IFoS), Ramana Murthy allegedly jumped to death from a multi-storied building in Nagole here on Thursday.

The IFS officer identified as V. B. Ramana Murthy officer working with the AP Forest department is alleged to have been depressed and committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of his residence.

Shri V B Ramana Murthy IFoS (Andhra Pradesh 1987) was working as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (FR)  O/o PCCF (HoFF) , has been recently transferred and posted as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests- Coastal Zone Management(CZM)  O/o PCCF (HoFF).
