Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police, Cyberabad Police and Rachakonda Police upon end the voting for GHMC election on Tuesday examined the security and polling at various polling stations across GHMC limits.
Except minor incidents of errors, reported fraud, and even violence, the polling was peaceful across the GHMC area on Tuesday.
- A tension among BJP and TRS seen in Kukatpally when BJP workers allegedly attacked the convoy of Transport Minister P. Ajay Kumar, claiming that he was distributing money among voters.
- At Upperpalli division, the TRS leaders claimed that vote of a person who is in USA was casted, alleging irregularities, they demanded re-polling.
- There was a mild tension in Jambagh division after the TRS leaders alleged that MIM leaders were resorting to rigging.
- Setwin polling center at Motigalli also witnessed a clash between MIM and BJP workers.
- Majilis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) leader Amjadullah Khan reported a few dozen women who were suspiciously moving around at a polling station at Azampura.
Director General of Police M. Mahender Reddy said over 50,000 police personnel were deployed to ensure polling in peaceful and free and fair manner.
