Hyderabad: The annual Bonalu festivities in twin cities will be celebrated without great fanfare this time on account of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A decision to this effect was taken during a high-level meeting convened by TS Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav with elected delegates from the city along officials from the Police, GHMC and Endowments department at the Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute here on Wednesday.

The festivities will be celebrated as per guidelines to be issued by the Central and State governments on such celebrations. In view of the present situation, the temple committee members and devotees should extend cooperation to the government, Minister Yadav said.
