Moscow: During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Russia for talks with President Vladimir Putin, Moscow’s Ostankino Tower, the tallest structure in Europe, was illuminated with the colors of the Indian flag. This marks PM Modi’s first trip to Russia since the Ukraine conflict began. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties in energy, trade, and defense.
Upon arrival at Vnukovo-II airport, PM Modi was greeted by Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and received a ceremonial guard of honor. PM Modi expressed his enthusiasm for deepening the strategic partnership between India and Russia. He will hold discussions with President Putin and interact with the Indian community in Russia.
