Hyderabad: a woman named Rani was kidnapped from her home in Suraram by a group over a financial dispute involving her husband, Maganti Laxman. The incident occurred when the group visited their house to discuss financial matters with Laxman, who was absent at the time. They forcefully abducted Rani and confined her to a house in Manikeshwari Nagar near Osmania University. Following a complaint, the police launched an investigation, rescued Rani on Sunday morning, and took five suspects into custody. Laxman had allegedly taken money from people with promises of securing jobs in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) but failed to deliver, leading to demands for repayment. The police are continuing their investigation.
