Peddapalli: A young woman who jumped into the Godavari river to commit suicide was rescued by police and adventure sports activists.
Punnam Midhuna (33) of Enclave 8 jumped into the Godavari River due to family disputes. Luckily the police on patrol and Aqua Tourism members G Prasanna Kumar and Gandam Venkatesh rescued the drowning woman with the help of a boat.
She was later shifted to Godavarikhani Area Hospital. Police are investigating the incident.
